Laura Schneider - Senior Vice President:
BACKGROUND:
Ms. Schneider recently joined Lamont and has over 20 years of previous experience in asset management and credit enhancement. During her 12 years with MBIA Asset Management she led the new business efforts in the Asset-Liability Management segment, where she was responsible for the growth of the collateralized and uncollateralized investment agreement portfolio from $5Bn to approximately $17Bn. Ms. Schneider has expertise in the reinvestment of municipal bond proceeds. She has also developed successful strategies for the investment of other municipal funds. Prior to joining MBIA, Ms. Schneider worked in the Public Finance Department at The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi where she provided letters and lines of credit for issuers across many sectors. She also advised clients on financing alternatives to minimize borrowing costs.
